Darkwave Studios, in partnership with TransGaming Inc. has released Xetrix for the iPhone, iPod Touch and the iPad. Xetrix was originally pitched at the 2007 Vortex Video game Competition and won best mobile game. Check out Xetrix in the app store.

"It's an interesting download, but ultimately Musika doesn't really do enough to elevate itself out of novelty status. For the same price you can get full-featured, genuinely great iPod games like Zuma, Vortex, and Mahjong."

Apple has made another iPod game available as a free demo, this time it is the Namco classic Ms. PAC-MAN. This is the 2nd game Apple has initially offered as a free demo. Apple Previously offered the game Vortex as a free demo back in January

Apple appears to be starting to release some of its iPod Games (available for purchase from the iTunes Store) as demo versions as well. Vortex is the first of these, but it's unclear whether Apple intends to offer any others. The demo consists of 2 levels, as opposed to the full version's infinite number. Vortex is essentially a brick-bashing game.
